Picking the color of Dental Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made porcelan shells designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance.

This is the quick and convenient way to get that perfect smile. Whether you're looking to cover up a few cosmetic flaws or want to give your smile an overall makeover, Dental Veneers are the solution for you. These thin porcelain or composite resin coverings are bonded to the front surface of your teeth, and can help correct chips, cracks, gaps between teeth, minor misalignment and/or discoloration. Veneers are considered cosmetic treatments, so they usually aren't covered by insurance.

Do I need dental veneers?

Veneers are common treatment for the the following cases:

  • Teeth discoloration
  • Worn out teeth
  • Chipped or broken teeth
  • Misalligned or uneven teeth
  • Gaps between teeth

Are veneers better than other treatment options?

Here are some advantages of veneers:

  • Teeth with veneers look natural
  • Gums tolarate veneers well
  • Veneers are stain resistant
  • Veneers come in wide variety of colors
  • Veneers are easier to apply and look better than crowns

Here are some downsides of dental veneers:

  • Veneers might be costly and cannot be repaired if they chip or crack
  • Your teeth may become more sensitive to hot and cold
  • Veneer's color cannot be altered. If you plan on whitening your teeth, you need to do so before getting veneers.
  • If you clench and grind your teeth your veneers need to be protected by night guard
  • If you bite your nails, or have a habbit of chewing hard objects veneers are not recommended
  • Veneers are not a good choice if you have weak or unhealthy teeth or gums

What does it take to get veneers?

In most cases you will need three office visits for veneers.
Your first visit is a consultation to make sure veneers are the right option for you.
You will need to two more offcie visits to make and apply your veneers. We can apply veneers to multiple teeth at the same time.
